This site has five sections: Web links to people doing original work in a wide variety of useful arts; specialty suppliers and sources of information; project photos and how-tos; a blog with recent work and commentary; and a page where you can purchase tools and books.
The focus is on original, idiosyncratic work, on people expressing new ideas in woodworking, stone carving, quilting, metalwork, architecture and dozens of other fields. I've chosen a representative photo from each site as a teaser, but all the sites have much, much more to look at and read about, and I encourage you to visit them. All the photos link directly to the originating site.
The links aren't in any order because they're more enjoyable to read that way - less a reference work and more a story about people and work and unexpected ways of seeing. All of them are chosen for merit. They're not ads and no money changes hands unless you click on something that says Amazon or Google.
